Our client is a newly established pharmaceutical platform aiming to provide excellent logistics and express delivery in the individual medicine market with over 700M patients (Rare Disease Drugs / Cancer) in China.

The platform and logistic services are fully regulated and under the supervision of the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, including the Ministry of Finance, the General Administration of Customs, the State Administration of Taxation, State Food and Drug Administration.

The key objective of the Logistics Director is to develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with company objectives, emphasizing inventory availability, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.


About The Role

  • Lead demand forecasting, demand planning, and supply planning processes to ensure optimal inventory levels while balancing availability, inventory turns, and cost efficiency.
  • Take a pragmatic and hands-on approach to driving changes and implementing strategies that deliver tangible results across the supply chain.
  • Oversee inventory planning and control to achieve the right balance between availability, inventory turns, and cost optimization.
  • Lead the team in refining and enhancing existing forecasting and planning models, or designing and implementing new models, to improve the accuracy and reliability of demand forecasting, demand planning, and procurement.
  • Oversee the global logistics team, managing warehousing, shipping, and relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL providers.
  • Ensure operational excellence and continuously optimize processes in logistics, focusing on regulatory compliance, timely delivery, and consistent service quality.
  • Provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver measurable operational results, including cost reduction, process optimization, and enhanced service levels.

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of managerial experience in supply chain management within a distribution environment.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a must
  • Excellent knowledge of both China and Hong Kong import and export pharmaceutical-related regulations
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in demand forecasting, demand planning, and supply planning.
  • Proven ability to optimize inventory management, balancing availability, turns, and cost efficiency.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address complex supply chain challenges.
  • Proficiency with supply chain management systems and tools.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills to engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
