MVAC Procurement & Product Manager | E&M | MNC

Our client is a US-based engineering solutions provider with a global presence and is qualified as an approved supplier and contractor to Hong Kong's prestigious bodies, including the HKSAR Government and MTRC.

As a market leader in the sector, combining sales, marketing, distribution, and contracting with engineering solutions for the construction and industrial business sectors in Hong Kong, China, and Macau markets. And specializes in Lamps & Lighting, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, and Building Services.

The significant high-profile infrastructure projects include the new Hong Kong Airport, the Lantau Airport Railway, the Tsing Ma Bridge and Western Harbour Tunnel, Tseung Kwan O Extension, West Rail, and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Source for new products and OEMs relevant to the MVAC portfolio, with a main focus on Mainland China
• Develop and administer a vendor qualification/assessment questionnaire
• Conduct on-site factory audits for onboarding new suppliers and re-qualifying existing ones
• Provide risk assessments and recommendations based on findings in items 
• Support the sales team to evaluate compliance with specifications and quality standards
• Develop and administer quality control and inspection protocols for suppliers
• Assist with contract negotiation for supply agreements
• Perform Relationship Management with suppliers to help management achieve strategic market goals, including troubleshooting, technical queries, and visits
• Maintain an RFQ log to OEM partners, present during team pipeline meetings.
• Assist with communicating with OEM partners to process and resolve technical issues raised by the contractor and/or consultants
• Verify purchase orders against project specifications, contractor and consultant approvals, and any other commitments from the sales team before placing POs with OEM partners
• Manage OEM partners to ensure the production schedule is aligned with project delivery milestones
• Assist with coordinating and conducting factory acceptance tests (in-person or via video call) for critical fans selected by consultant
• Ensure product compliance with HK / international standards as required by the project (e.g. CE, AMCA, UL, etc) and address any gaps identified
• Conduct on-site QA/QC for finished goods before shipment, which will include, but will notbe  limited to: air flow and pressure tests, noise tests, inspections on casings, fans, and motors, comprehensive verification against approved drawings and project tender specifications, ensuring all consultants' comments are captured,
• Ensure shipping readinessis  achieved with acceptable packing methods, complete documentation (packing lists, certificates, test reports), and liaison with Customer Service (CS) team to organize shipment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Building Automation, HVAC, Electronics, or Information Engineering.
• Over 4 years in the HVAC industry, preferably with sensors and meters.
• Strong English and Mandarin communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Persuasive, risk-evaluative, strong interpersonal skills, and openness to international collaboration.
• Frequent travel is required
