Job Title: Head of AI, Engineering

Compensation: $350,000 base, 100% benefits coverage for employee & dependents

What Will You Do?

• Define and shape the AI roadmap to align with company objectives and market needs

• Drive the development of conversational AI systems that improve healthcare experiences for patients and providers

• Enhance our LLM Ops and evaluation systems to ensure the safety and performance of AI models in healthcare applications

• Lead AI initiatives, including RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and RLHF (Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback), to continually improve system performance

• Mentor and develop a talented team of AI engineers, ensuring their growth and success in a highly competitive market

• Cultivate partnerships with healthcare executives, clinicians, and tech partners to drive innovation and thought leadership

What Will You Need?

• 7+ years of Python programming experience, particularly in AI and ML solutions

• Expertise in developing and deploying production-scale AI systems, with a focus on LLMs (Large Language Models)

• Strong commitment to AI safety and ethical principles, especially in healthcare applications

• Extensive experience in NLP (Natural Language Processing), with a focus on conversational AI

• 3+ years of experience in a senior management or director role, leading AI teams and projects

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Proven track record of successfully building and scaling AI-driven products

• Ability to define AI roadmaps, iterate quickly, and work collaboratively with product, engineering, and executive teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in clinical NLP or health-related applications

• Full-stack development experience, with expertise in React and integrating AI capabilities into front-end applications

• Familiarity with AWS ML and Life Science Cloud platforms
