Job Title: Master 150T Domestic – Marine Operator (Contract)
Contract Term: June, 2026 – October 1, 2026
Location: Project based (marine/barge operations)
Position Overview
We are seeking a certified Master 150T Domestic to support marine operations for the 2026 field season. This role is responsible for the safe operation and navigation of vessels, supporting barge operations, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and navigate vessels within the limits of a Master 150T Domestic certification
- Oversee daily vessel operations including transport, positioning, and coordination with project teams
- Ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations and company safety standards
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vessel logs and documentation
- Coordinate closely with marine crew, engineers, and project personnel
- Support loading, unloading, and general barge or marine operations as required
- Respond to operational issues, weather conditions, and emergencies as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized vessel
Package Details
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Transport Canada Master 150T Domestic Certificate
- Experience operating workboats, barges, or similar marine vessels
- Strong knowledge of marine navigation, safety procedures, and vessel operations
- Ability to work in remote or project-based environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team setting
- Physically fit and able to perform duties in a marine environment
