Responsibilities:

Process Package Engineering

• Develop and manage technical specifications, datasheets, scopes of work, and other engineering deliverables for mineral processing equipment packages.
• Review process requirements and translate them into equipment and package specifications.
• Support equipment selection, sizing, and technical evaluations for mineral processing systems.
• Ensure process packages are properly integrated with surrounding plant systems and engineering disciplines.

Vendor & Procurement Coordination

• Prepare and review technical documentation for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests to Award (RTAs), and equipment procurement packages.
• Coordinate with equipment vendors and suppliers to obtain technical information, drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Review vendor proposals, drawings, data sheets, and technical submissions for compliance with project requirements.
• Support technical bid evaluations, vendor selection, and procurement activities.
• Track vendor deliverables and coordinate technical comments and approvals.

Estimation & Analysis

• Support equipment and package cost estimates during project development and execution.
• Develop and maintain trade-off studies and technical comparisons for equipment and design alternatives.
• Assist with evaluating technical and commercial impacts of package changes and scope alternatives.
• Support continuous improvement of equipment specifications, standards, and design deliverables.

Interdisciplinary Coordination

• Liaise with process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to coordinate package requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical interfaces between equipment packages and other mine processing systems.
• Coordinate scope changes, technical queries, and vendor clarifications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in design reviews and project coordination meetings as required.

Documentation & Quality Assurance

• Review and maintain equipment package documentation, including specifications, datasheets, drawings, manuals, and vendor data.
• Ensure technical documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with project standards and requirements.
• Maintain appropriate document control and tracking of vendor submissions, reviews, and approvals.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), equipment inspections, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities where required.
• Initiate improvements to package engineering standards, specifications, templates, and workflows.

Qualifications/Experience/Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, Mining, Process, or related Engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in process, equipment, package, or project engineering within mining or mineral processing projects.
• Experience with mineral processing equipment and systems.
• Experience developing equipment specifications, datasheets, scopes of work, and technical evaluations.
• Experience reviewing vendor proposals, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of mineral processing and mining project delivery.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with engineering and document management systems is an asset.
• Experience supporting procurement, construction, or commissioning activities is an asset.
