Senior Mining Engineer
The Senior Mining Engineer will support Project Managers by completing open pit and underground mine engineering, design, planning, and operating and capital cost estimation. The Senior Mining Engineer will be assigned to a multitude of projects, including technical studies ranging from desktop studies to NI 43-101 compliant technical reports, technical project and due diligence reviews, and operational assistance.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level mining engineering and design services for underground and open pit mine studies, including scoping, prefeasibility, feasibility, detailed design, and NI 43-101 technical reports
- Prepare mining equipment specifications and assist with mining equipment procurement
- Prepare technical specifications based on input received from other disciplines
- Prepare and contribute to technical memos and reports within areas of expertise
- Prepare detailed mining CAPEX and OPEX cost estimates
- Design mine infrastructure, ventilation systems, backfill systems, and mining services
- Lead and mentor junior engineering staff
- Present and communicate findings in a concise manner to a wide range of audiences and clients

Package Details
Compensation
- Competitive compensation based on actual hours worked
- Compensation will be based on the experience of the applicant
Work Schedule
- Office work is generally performed at 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, and will not exceed 10 hours per day
- On-site work may be performed up to a maximum of 12 hours per day
- On-site rotational work is required depending on project phase
- Travel time to and from project sites is paid from point of hire, up to a maximum of 8 hours per travel day
- Travel costs to and from project sites are reimbursed
- Time off will be accommodated with appropriate advance notice to the General Manager
- Vacation starts at two weeks per year and is included in hourly compensation
- Additional unpaid time off may be available based on project workload
Qualifications / Experience / Education Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Mining Engineering (or related discipline)
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in BC or another province/territory
- Ability to act as a Qualified Person under NI 43-101 and CIM standards
- Minimum 10 years of experience in open pit and/or underground mine engineering
- Familiarity with NI 43-101 (or similar) public disclosure and reporting standards
- Advanced expertise with mine planning software (Deswik, Vulcan, or MineSight preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Broad exposure to the mineral resource industry, including geology, metallurgy, mineral processing, and site infrastructure
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Bilingualism (English/French/Spanish) is considered an asset
- Ability to travel within Canada and internationally
