BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (EUCOM/AFRICOM)

ROLE PURPOSE:

JDI is currently seeking a highly motivated and results driven Business Development Manager to join the team, with a specific focus on growing US DoD customers in the EUCOM/AFRICOM AORs, including US Military, FMS/FMF recipients, and Defense
Contractor customers. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities within your respective
territory. You will be responsible for identifying and working closely with client key stakeholders to identify pain points, needs, and capability gaps, then collaborate with JDI support teams and industry partners to develop tailored solutions to create value for our clients.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop relationships with client decision makers.
Build and execute a strategic sales territory plan
Understand funding and contracting options available in order to provide the most optimal route for each opportunity.
Make cold-calls and face-to-face customer visits as prospecting tools to grow your customer base.
Partner with industry suppliers to develop tailored solutions that meet/exceed customer needs.
Maintain an accurate and up to date Sales Pipeline.
Identify creative ways to increase customer base, win probability, and sales margins.
Work with internal support groups to ensure your customers are receiving quotes, orders, and follow-up in a timely manner.
Closely monitor industry and customer specific market trends and activities.
Maintain an accurate CRM for pipeline forecasting.
Work closely with US Prime vendors to assist in developing integrated
solutions to meet their customer needs.


DESIRED QUALIFICAITIONS:

5-10 years selling into US Military or Government customers (or equivalent military experience)
Established network of customers within EUCOM/AFRICOM territory.
Full understanding of the FMS/FMF process and key stakeholders involved.
Experience in selling to multiple US Government Contracts (i.e. DLA TLS (SOE,FES), GSA)
