Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the technical design, development, and maintenance of back-end systems that support the Oracle Retail System, ensuring they are efficient, secure, and scalable.

  2. Drive the integration of Oracle technologies with other core systems and platforms to enhance retail operations, including inventory management, customer relationship management, and financial systems.

  3. Actively guide the development of the back-end systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and aligned with the Oracle retail system's requirements.

  4. Focus on continuous improvement of the Oracle Retail System to meet evolving retail operation needs, ensuring system reliability and performance.

  5. Develop and manage budgets for technology initiatives and resources, ensuring the cost-effective deployment of technology solutions.

  6. Conduct regular code reviews and oversee the technical aspects of back-end development to maintain high standards and best practices.

  7. Oversee the daily operations of the software engineering team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality software development.

  8. Foster strong relationships with business stakeholders, vendors, partners, and other external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of actionable technology solutions.

Key skills:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Oracle Retail applications.

  3. Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring a team of software developers.

  4. Extensive knowledge of Oracle Retail solutions and their application in a retail or wholesale environment.

  5. Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and web services.

  6. Hands-on experience with Oracle Retail Suite of Products (RMS, ReSA, RPM, RIB).

  7. Knowledge of Oracle technologies (PL/SQL, Java, RIB) and their customization.

  8. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools.

  9. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

  10. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
