Job Context As a Dyeing Finishing Technician, the ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining dyeing and finishing equipment to ensure the production of high-quality textiles. His duties will involve preparing dye solutions, setting up machinery, monitoring dyeing processes, and conducting quality control checks. Additionally, He will troubleshoot equipment issues, perform routine maintenance, and adhere to safety regulations to uphold a productive and safe working environment.

Job Responsibilities

1. Dyeing Operations:

• Prepare dyeing solutions according to formulation specifications, ensuring accuracy in measurements and concentrations.

• Load textiles into dyeing machines, monitor dyeing process parameters, and adjust settings as necessary to achieve desired color and quality.

• Conduct color matching and shade approval tests to ensure consistency and accuracy in dyeing results.

• Troubleshoot dyeing equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery in optimal condition.

2. Finishing Processes:

• Operate finishing equipment such as calenders, stenters, and tension frames to apply treatments and coatings to textiles.

• Monitor process parameters during finishing operations, adjusting settings to achieve desired fabric properties and performance characteristics.

• Conduct quality inspections on finished textiles to verify adherence to customer specifications and quality standards.

• Collaborate with production and quality control teams to address any issues or deviations from established processes.

3. Process Optimization:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

• Conduct trials and experiments to evaluate new dyeing and finishing techniques, chemicals, and equipment.

• Analyze data and test results to identify root causes of problems and implement corrective actions as needed.

4. Quality Control:

• Conduct visual inspections and laboratory tests to assess color fastness, durability, and other performance characteristics of dyed and finished textiles.

• Document test results and maintain accurate records of quality control activities.

• Implement corrective and preventive measures to address quality issues and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

5. Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while handling chemicals, operating machinery, and performing dyeing and finishing processes.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following proper storage and handling procedures for hazardous materials.

• Stay informed about regulatory requirements and best practices related to dyeing and finishing operations, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Additional Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); Bachelor's degree in Textile Chemistry, Textile Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

• Strong knowledge of dyeing principles, dye chemistry, and textile finishing techniques.

• Experience with dyeing machinery, such as jet dyeing machines, beck dyeing machines, and continuous dyeing ranges.

• Familiarity with quality control procedures and testing methods for dyed and finished textiles.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.

• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for handling chemicals and operating textile processing equipment.
