Position Title: Chief Operation Officer (COO) - New Factory 

Location: Myanmar


RESPONSIBILITY

Support the company in the execution of the short- and long-term vision, plans and directives by implementing judgement, vision, management, and leadership in line with the company's mission and core values. 

  • Oversees the general operations at PMI-2 including Engineering, PPIC, manufacturing, warehousing, procurement, IT and quality.
  • Implementation of operational management systems to organize and monitor PMI-2 overall operations.
  • Ensures that PMI-2 is compliant with all local environmental, legislative and regulatory laws.
  • Ensures maximum capacity utilization through strategic and tactical scheduling of capacity vs demand.
  • Ensures that the production plans meet our required customer's timeline (OTIF) expectations
  • Reviews and approves the 6-months, 3-months, monthly and weekly plans for production, purchasing and PPIC.
  • Communicates with PMI-2 customers and other related departments (internally and externally) to ensure that all NPI (new product introductions) meet timelines and are executed in line with operational expectations.
  • Ensures that raw materials, packaging, and other consumables are procured on time, on quality and by achieving the optimal purchase price.
  • Ensures that production operations comply with PMI-2 safety and quality standards.
  • Ensures that the utilities and services at PMI-2 are maintained to an acceptable standard.
  • Ensures costings on products are accurate and completed timeously.
  • Responsible for the proper deployment of Group policies that promote company culture and vision within its territory in connection with the Group Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director,
  • Defines the operational structure, ensures the management of the teams and ensures the right level of skills and their defined performance objectives.
  • Responsible for supporting the business development of PMI-2, makes the appropriate management decisions and guarantees the achievement of qualitative, quantitative, and organizational objectives in relation to group and support functions,
  • Manage all aspects of the internal supply chain demand-supply process from order acceptance to delivery.
  • Ensure sales are recorded and monitored in line with agreed processes
  • Ensure products purchased are delivered in a timely way.
  • Maintain relationships with key vendors/partners, maintain regular contact, solve complex issues, and anticipate and plan for the challenges involved in the operations
  • Oversees the activities of the Engineering team related to preventative and corrective maintenance, project management, and inventory management.
  • Collaborating with the department heads and operations as an advisor of all technologies to develop and meet organizational goals.
  • Manage the staff turnover rate.
  • Report to PMI-2 CEO with timely and accurate reports.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests in a timely and professional manner.
    

SKILLS OR COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENT

  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector: Products and services
  • Solid communication skills and can work with all members of the organization and all levels of management
  • Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment and respond under ambiguous situations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and highly logical and numerate
  • A continuous improvement mindset and experience in process improvement will be an added advantage
  • Structured, organized, detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong in the integration of new assets and technology. Start-up to launch product organizations.

  • Knowledge of project management techniques, tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Bachelor's Degree in medical, engineering (industrial management, operation management) or related field required and/or MBA in Business Management, and completed by a diversified experience of a minimum 5 years as a Head of Operations Department.
  • 10+ Years of experience in a senior management role or similar position; public/private company experience Advanced user of Microsoft Office with knowledge of advanced Excel data analysis
