Job Purpose:
Our client is looking for a Group IT Head for Infrastructure to strategise, lead and oversee all IT infrastructure projects, and IR security projects and provide IT Support for the business. The ideal candidate will provide technical guidance, strategic project alignment, budget oversight, and resource planning while ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our IT infrastructure across multiple sectors.
Core Responsibilities:
Strategic Infrastructure Planning and Governance:
- Develop and execute the strategic vision for IT infrastructure aligned with organizational objectives
- Establish and maintain robust policies, standards, and procedures for IT infrastructure management and security
- Drive governance initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Conduct regular meetings to update and align Hub IT strategies and sector IT projects
Office 365 Security and Data Protection:
- Provide expert guidance on Office 365 security protocols, ensuring robust protection of sensitive data and configurations
- Implement and oversee measures to safeguard Office 365 applications, data, and email communications against potential threats
- Collaborate with the security team to establish and maintain a comprehensive data security framework within Office 365
Infrastructure Management and Operations:
- Lead and manage a team responsible for infrastructure maintenance, network administration, endpoint security, and database administration
- Oversee the procurement process for group IT assets, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and organizational needs
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain optimal performance and security of the IT infrastructure
Security Management:
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard company data and systems
- Implement and manage security solutions, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems
Project and Change Management:
- Lead major infrastructure projects, including system migrations, upgrades, and implementation of new technologies, with a dedicated focus on data security
- Monitor and manage change processes while ensuring minimal disruption to operations
Financial Oversight and Resource Planning:
- Own the Hub office IT budget and oversee IT budgets across all sectors, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, especially regarding data security, business contingency investments, and disaster recovery
- Lead headcount and resource planning for the Hub IT infrastructure team, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and skillset
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the infrastructure team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and security awareness
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments and stakeholders to align infrastructure initiatives with organizational goals, emphasizing data security best practices
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level IT infrastructure solutions
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, network architecture, cybersecurity, and IT service management frameworks
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
- Proven experience in providing technical direction, project alignment, and budget oversight across multiple sectors
- Strong financial acumen with experience in managing and overseeing IT budgets for multiple sectors
- Demonstrated success in headcount and resource planning for IT infrastructure teams
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Expertise in Office 365 security protocols and data protection measures
- Experience in leading IT infrastructure projects with a strong focus on security enhancements
- Very good at Negotiations and vendor management skills
- Able to present numerical data in a concise, logical and useful manner
- Able to work with a wide range of audiences, from executives to line workers
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor's/Masters Degree in Computer Science/Applications, Information Management or other technical / IT field
- More than 15 years of IT experience in IT Infrastructure / Security roles
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, or ITIL are highly desirable
