Company Overview:

The Bank is a fully licensed commercial bank operating in Vientiane Capital City, Laos. It is established to offer a wide range of banking services including mobilizing and receiving short, medium, and long-term deposit funds from both organizations and individuals. The bank provides lending services on similar timeframes, tailoring loans to the nature and repayment ability of the borrowers. In addition to traditional banking services, the bank conducts foreign currency transactions, provides transaction services between customers, and offers other banking services as approved by the Bank of Lao PDR (BOL). The bank's operations are centered at its head office and a branch located in Vientiane.

Role Overview:

Position Title: Head/Manager, Business Development & Marketing

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy and Planning:

    • Plan and implement sales and marketing strategies.
    • Supervise and ensure the smooth running of all related activities, including reviewing and streamlining business and operational workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Identify business opportunities from high-net-worth and institutional clients.
    • Develop new markets, establish and expand commercial relationships, and create innovative business strategies for expansion and profitability at branches.
    • Lead and coach team heads and members.
    • Implement business initiatives to meet customer needs while managing acceptable credit risks.
    • Participate in promotional activities and joint training programs, maintaining close relationships with external business partners.
  2. Business Performance:

    • Develop and launch new products and services.
    • Increase the client base by attracting new clients.
    • Supervise product implementation and marketing activities.
    • Ensure the day-to-day sales and marketing activities of the retail sales team are coordinated and conducted efficiently within the management's agreed framework.
  3. Management and Coordination:

    • Handle marketing, relationship management, and business development among the existing client base.
    • Maximize earnings potential and revenue.
    • Manage retail and/or corporate sales teams, coordinating sales and marketing activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in credit analysis or commercial loans.
  • Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
  • People-oriented with a pleasant personality.
  • Sound knowledge of the bank's policies and products.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Deep knowledge of key business and operations of a full-license commercial bank.
