About the job Business Development Manager

Our client is a well-known large financial services organisation based in the UAE. They are looking to hire a driven & well-rounded Business Development Manager to drive the company's digital division expansion across GCC markets in a fast and cost effective manner. The role holder will be using existing platform capabilities to create competitive advantages for the organisation in GCC markets.

Key Result Areas

  • Work with cross functional teams to build a digital presence in the markets, using the orgaisation's platform, customized to specific local regulations and market needs.
  • Take lead role in managing relationships with all key stakeholders, inside the organisation and in the markets.
  • Execute the scope of the project assignment including business analysis, data analysis, diagnostic activities, design, pilot and implementation.
  • Manage the overall implementation plan to ensure that all solutions are project managed effectively and delivered within budgeted time and cost.
  • Perform project management governance related activities effectively including planning, scheduling, tracking and reporting, and risk identification and mitigation.
  • Use specialist knowledge and/or experience of business areas or products to ensure all relevant information is available to guide design and implementation of the project.
  • Develop hypothesis to address requirements and suggest solutions based on specific selection criteria to the business issues identified.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services domain, with a track record of driving successful product strategies and launches.
  • Good knowledge of GCC Retail Banking and Fintech ecosystems, being familiar with banking regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to interpret the local banking regulations to deliver the best product for the market.
  • Excellent commercial and technical understanding of digital customer acquisition, onboarding, and user experience.
  • Strong information systems understanding with ability to lead root cause analysis and closure.
  • Proven experience in project management with a track record of successful project delivery across multiple markets.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate project performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams drawing on different skills to enable strong team results.
  • Relevant experience working in Agile methodology.
  • Proficiency in English & Arabic.
