About the job Financial Analyst
Our client is a Maritime Transportation company, headquartered in Dubai, with over 10 years of experience in bunker management, commercial vessel operations and post-fixture services such as laytime (demurrage) and claims management. The team has a proven track record of creating bottom-line efficiencies by delivering commercial solutions for a large fleet of bulk carriers and tankers across the globe.
They are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join the team in Dubai. The job holder is responsible for assisting in administering financial and planning functions of the company. This includes overseeing corporate financing, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting. The role also is required to augment that the organizations business plan for new projects align with the company's objectives.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with business units heads.
- Monitor budget and forecast performance and share with business units lead for improvements.
- Develop long-term financial strategies based on companys goals.
- Monitor and manage Companys cash flow, to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
- Support the Company in finding new Lenders and improve the usage of the existing financing.
- Provide periodical and ad hoc reports and information as agreed or requested by the Lenders.
- Provide financial analysis to support decision-making, including variance and trend analysis.
- Build profitability analysis by relevant business units to be discussed with senior management / BoD.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in controlling or management accounting.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CFA or CPA preferred.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., D365, SAP, Oracle).
- Experience in complex and international environments.
- Experience from a Management Consulting firm or in a bank as Financial Analyst will be considered a plus.
- Previous experience in Commodities and/or Shipping business is a plus.
- Strong strategic planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to develop financial models and reports.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing financial data.
- Comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
