Our client is a Maritime Transportation company, headquartered in Dubai, with over 10 years of experience in bunker management, commercial vessel operations and post-fixture services such as laytime (demurrage) and claims management. The team has a proven track record of creating bottom-line efficiencies by delivering commercial solutions for a large fleet of bulk carriers and tankers across the globe.
They are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead the Marketing & Communications function. The role requires strategic oversight and execution of all marketing and communication activities, including brand management, public relations, event planning, campaign development, and internal communications. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of crafting compelling narratives, ensuring attention to detail, and fostering collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams to align marketing strategies with organizational goals.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the organization's objectives.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activities to identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Plan and oversee the execution of marketing campaigns across digital, print, and other channels.
Brand Management
- Strengthen and manage the organization's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
- Develop branding guidelines and ensure adherence by internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor brand perception and implement strategies to enhance reputation and visibility.
Public Relations
Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers.
- Draft press releases, media statements, and other communication materials.
- Manage crisis communications and ensure timely, accurate responses.
Event Management
- Plan, organize, and execute industry events, webinars, and internal town halls.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure events reflect organizational values and priorities.
- Measure the impact of events and recommend improvements for future initiatives.
Campaign Management
- Oversee the conceptualization and implementation of marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with design and content teams to create impactful campaign materials.
- Track and analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize outcomes.
Internal & Stakeholder Communication
- Lead internal communication initiatives to foster employee engagement and alignment.
- Develop communication frameworks for effective stakeholder updates and announcements.
- Collaborate with leadership to communicate organizational milestones and achievements.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in marketing and communications, with 3+ years in a leadership / Senior management role.
- Demonstrated expertise in brand management, public relations, campaign strategy, and execution.
- A results-oriented leader capable of driving initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Proficient in digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and CRM systems.
