Our client is a multinational conglomerate based in Africa and is undertaking a strategic initiative aimed at unlocking the continent's potential in mineral and metal transformation and processing.
They are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Project Management Office (PMO) to lead and oversee high-impact projects within the metals industry. This role requires a leader with extensive experience in managing profit and loss (P&L), driving strategic initiatives, and leading cross-functional teams. The Head of PMO will work closely with 5-6 CEOs to promote operational excellence and drive business transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Program & Project Leadership: Lead and manage large-scale strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational excellence.
- P&L Oversight: Drive financial performance, optimize budgets, and ensure project profitability.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with executive leadership, CEOs, and cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and execution.
- Performance & Risk Management: Monitor KPIs, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Process Optimization: Implement PMO best practices, Agile methodologies, and business transformation strategies.
Key Qualifications
- 10 to 15 years of experience within the metals industry.
- Strong background in metals, heavy industries, or manufacturing.
- Proven experience engaging with C-level executives and driving business transformation.
- Hands-on experience with P&L ownership and budget optimization.
- Expertise in PMO methodologies, process improvements, and strategic execution.
- Ability to assess complex situations and implement innovative solutions.
