About the job Head of Transformation & Governance-HR - VP(Emiratization)
Our client is a well-known large financial services organisation based in the UAE. They are looking to hire a Head of Transformation & Governance, that will be responsible for supporting the Group Head to define and execute all aspects of the operating model of the group and assist in maintaining the daily rhythm of running of the function and executing/implementing the transformation projects across all locations including the digital transformation and process re-engineering.
The job holder will be coordinating with leadership for data collation, business analytics to track strategic initiatives and interact with all DRs and leads in an effective and collaborative manner.
Additionally, the job holder will be responsible for the overall risk management of People & Intellectual Capital Group, including the assessment of internal controls within the group, data quality, compliance with the audit requirements, information security & data privacy and mitigation of operational risks.
Key Result Areas
- Overseeing the implementation of strategic initiatives, from development through execution, under the supervision of senior leadership.
- Maintain operating rhythm for organization by ensuring scheduled reviews are organized and all action items are taken to closure.
- Reviewing, designing and implementing improvements to organizational procedures and structure to increase efficiency.
- Developing and building relationships with Leads, improving their team efficiency in existing and new operations
- Overseeing the daily operations of the organization with the guidance of senior leadership and performing administrative tasks, including, maintaining files, planning, and coordinating annual meetings
- Overseeing initiatives from ideation to implementation.
- Working with leadership to implement, monitor and present the progress of plans and goals.
- Represent organization in various key forums and committees to drive bank-wide/company-wide initiatives.
- Ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of organization.
- Support Group Head with strategy materials, quarterly reviews with GCEO, EXCO presentations, Townhalls and offsites.
- Proactively check for alignments and integration of action items & initiatives and highlight key observations to Group Head.
- Support the GH with strategy materials, quarterly reviews with GCEO, EXCO presentations, townhalls, offsites and regular communications.
- Represent organization in various key forums and committees as assigned by GH to drive bank-wide initiatives that require the resources.
- Develop and build on relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and responsiveness of existing operations and help define new operational strategies by working with the Group Head and other leaders on projects.
- Assess inquiries directed to the Group Head and determine the proper course of action.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert, handling inquiries, developing action plans, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications.
- Work closely with the business partners (Finance, Admin, IT, etc.) to initiate and monitor all implementation activities.
- Work closely with the Digital transformation project manager and technology team on the digitization projects.
- Collaborating with executive leadership to determine and implement business strategies while also providing consultation for improvements.
- Assisting with the planning, coordination and leading of meetings and workshops.
- Providing support to executive leadership with implementing new ideas and processes.
- Review, support design, and execute improvements to organizational structure, find knowledge & skills gaps and help address them.
- Improve current processes and optimize organizational procedures for efficiency and productivity.
- Track KPIs and OKRs related to group strategic initiatives.
- Build risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within Group
- Design and implement an overall risk management process for the People & Intellectual Capital Group across various locations.
- Lead the review and monitor the global and local SOPs and processes to minimise risk and control gaps. Work with the leads to assess effectiveness of the existing processes and controls to ensure risk is mitigated, controls are effective and operational effectiveness.
- Manage the audit requirements, working with the Internal Audit Group and team during the audit cycles, to ensure control framework aligns with current operational processes and where required, update controls, and support with audit findings closure.
- Support the Group Head in the management of Group with the responsibility for group governance, strategy, business analytics, expense management and communication.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Minimum of bachelors degree in any field with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong leadership skills, interpersonal ability and communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HR practices is preferred.
- Experience in budget management.
- Proven success in project coordination and management role.
- Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication.
