Our client is a pan-African industrial infrastructure platform that develops and operates large-scale industrial and economic zones in partnership with governments. Its projects are designed to attract global manufacturers, build local value chains, create employment, and support export-led industrial growth across multiple African markets.

The business operates through public-private partnerships, bringing together land development, infrastructure, utilities, investor acquisition, project execution and long-term zone operations under one integrated model.

They are looking to appoint a Business Head for Ghana with end-to-end responsibility for the country's industrial zone business, including P&L, investor acquisition, project execution, government relations and partner management.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own the P&L and overall performance of the Ghana business.
  • Drive investor acquisition, targeting manufacturers, industrial companies and global businesses looking to establish operations in Ghana.
  • Lead the end-to-end commercial cycle, from investor engagement and solution structuring through negotiation and closure.
  • Oversee the broader industrial zone proposition across land, infrastructure, utilities and operating setup.
  • Work closely with construction and operations teams to ensure timely delivery against investor commitments.
  • Manage senior relationships with government authorities, JV partners, investors and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead market development, marketing and strategic partnerships.
  • Build and develop the local team while strengthening the next line of leadership.

Qualifications

  • Around 8-10 years of experience across business development, general management, infrastructure, strategy or related sectors.
  • Prior Africa experience strongly preferred, especially in roles involving government, infrastructure, industrial development or complex B2B transactions.
  • Strong commercial orientation with exposure to P&L ownership and multi-functional leadership.
  • Experience managing long-cycle, high-value deals and complex stakeholder environments.
  • Engineering + MBA background preferred; candidates from strong academic institutions will be considered.
  • High ownership, execution focus and willingness to operate hands-on in a fast-moving environment.
