Role Overview

Our client is expanding its team, seeking an "Investment Analyst" at the Analyst/Associate level for their Public Equity investments. This role, based out of RAK, requires independent, objective investment insights in the Public Markets. Being a part of a small team, you'll be challenged to consistently deliver top-quality results.

Directly reporting to the Head of Investments, you will play a pivotal role in driving their investment strategies. To succeed in this role, you must be able to carry the investment process from end to end including conducting market research and analysis, initiating, and analyzing investment ideas, executing trades, and continuously monitoring the investments over their time horizon.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze Public Markets (GCC & Global) to identify potential investment opportunities. - Executing and monitoring buy and sell orders in the GCC and global markets to ensure optimal price execution and timely completion, while conducting in-depth equity analysis of sectors and companies. (Securities /Bonds /ETF's etc.)
  • Knowledge of regulation in public trading in ADX, DFM, Nasdaq & other GCC Markets. conversant with online platform to trade therein.
  • Forecasts market trends, drafts insightful research reports, and regularly presents findings and recommendations based on research, market analysis, financial news, and economic indicators
  • Stay informed about changes in financial markets, investment products, and regulatory developments
  • Ensuring portfolios are guideline compliant and risk focused
  • Recording and reporting each day's profit and loss & ensuring corporate actions are fulfilled.
  • Maintaining close contact with bankers, research firms and brokers to discuss strategies, positioning, performances, and economic outlook concern to the Investment under consideration, optimize trade outcomes and keep management informed of the new investment opportunities & trends
  • Tracking and Managing the Public Equity Portfolio periodically along with maintaining sector weights across all sub-portfolios.
  • Prepare and deliver regular performance reports emphasizing key insights from the GCC & Global markets with benchmarks.
  • Forecast trends in GCC public markets using macroeconomic indicators, industry data, and company financials.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) - Level 3 Completed
  • 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, brokerage, or family office in UAE, with a minimum of 2 years specifically in trading in GCC markets.
  • Should have sound knowledge of how financial markets operate.in GCC and globally
  • Experience in presenting / preparing research & Sell side recommendation on public equities (including IPO's )
  • Possess articulate communications skills

  • CA/CPA or CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst)
