EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

1. Bachelors Degree in Telecommunications / Computing Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.

2. MBA or Master is preferable. KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 1. Proven record in leading, mentoring large sized teams / units and driving strategic and transformational agenda 2. Good knowledge & experience in Industry Practices, Technology, frameworks 3. Advanced knowledge of IT Enabling and Development 

4. Advanced Project Management Skills 5. Advanced knowledge of Quality Management 6. Advanced knowledge of Vendor/Contract Management 7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Lead and steer the strategic planning for IT Division to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the development of advanced IT applications and solutions in line with business goals, customer experience targets and service quality standards. 

2. Lead the CIOs Governance council meetings and along with executive leaders from respective IT verticals review and formulate major strategic decisions / projects. 

3. Establish and oversee IT Enabling governance processes and controls ensuring that departments objectives are achieved, operational risks are managed, and resources are effectively utilized to better address business needs. 

4. Establish, review and control quality assurance measures, guidelines and standards to ensure compliance with national and international industry practices and standards; ensure that all reporting departments are in line with decided quality targets, standards and procedures. 

5. Oversee implementation of short term, Business as Usual IT solutions requirements in alignment with the long-term architecture ensuring fully working end-to-end solutions is delivered as per the requested features 

6. Ensure potential threats or imbalances are accurately reported on time, and ensure operations capacity is sufficient for the organization´s requirements. 

7. Lead and steer the development of an enterprise-wide technology disaster recovery and business continuity plan for all mission critical IT applications. 8. Ensure applications are administered and run effectively and that adjustments and modifications are handled in a timely manner. 

9. Lead and oversee the IT business planning, including financial planning and management, sourcing and procurement ensuring their full alignment with organizational policies and industry best practices. 

10. Maintain strategic and effective interface within the organization as well as with business and technology partners, government agencies and professional bodies and represent IT before top management, other divisions, managed services, contractors, vendors, third parties, official bodies, etc. 

11. Review emerging technologies, current best practices, products, and services developments in IT and provide strategic vision and direction for the effective utilization of appropriate technologies. 

12. Provide direction and advice to the direct reports in performing their delegated responsibilities. 

13. Ensure the ongoing development of the departments employees, and guide and assure the developmental activities of direct and indirect reports. 

14. Oversee the overall performance of direct reports and ensure and ensure KPIs are well communicated and monitored. 

15. Ensure effective identification, allocation and utilization of the divisions human, financial, logistical and technological resources at all times.
