Job Summary:

As a CDL Class A Driver at Richelieu Hardware, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to our clients' destinations. You will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products, while also maintaining the highest level of professionalism and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

- Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement

- Plan and execute delivery routes, following all traffic laws and company policies

- Communicate with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery status

- Complete all necessary paperwork and logbooks accurately and in a timely manner

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues or concerns

- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times

- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, both inside and out

- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner at all times

Qualifications:

- Valid CDL Class A license

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial driver

- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years

- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check

- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Flexible schedule, including the ability to work nights and weekends as needed
