Contract to start ASAP

Duration: 30 weeks with a possible extension.

Responsibilities:

To provide job search support and mentoring to people not in employment.

To have responsibility for supporting a caseload of clients, using a holistic, enabling, and collaborative approach

To provide a flexible service, develop comprehensive support planswith clients and undertake further assessment and regular reviews as appropriate.

To develop comprehensive individual action plans with clients and undertake further assessment and regular reviews as appropriate.

To support individuals to address broad barriers to work, access to training, education, development opportunities and employment.

To identify, deliver and assist in the provision of training needs for groups or individuals where relevant.

To ensure CFW+ database is correctly maintained with up to date with information to ensure accurate information is provided to Welsh Government.

To be involved with the Triage Process within the Communities for Work Plus programme and ensure that all relevant support is accessed and available to the client.

To ensure that all personal data is effectively protected and handled, within locally agreed Information Sharing Protocols.

To work as part of an integrated team within the CFW+ team.

To assist in the development of the Communities for Work Plus programme in the Vale of Glamorgan Council.

To work with and provide links for residents, the private sector, and relevant agencies (voluntary and statutory), to gather information on and develop an understanding of the needs of the community and develop their capacity to tackle poverty.

To participant actively in supporting the principles and practice of equality of opportunity as stated in the Council's Equal Opportunity Policy whilst carrying out the above duties.

To adhere to Health and Safety legislation / relevant Council policies and procedures and to take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be adversely affected by your acts / omissions.

Ensure compliance with the Council's Financial Regulations, Standing Orders, Policies and Procedures

To implement the principles of the Council's Environment Policy while carrying out the above duties.

To adhere to the Council's Corporate Safeguarding Policy and associated policies and procedures and report concerns regarding the safety and wellbeing of children or adults at risk. In order to support you in you in this, you are required to access safeguarding training.

Such other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade and in accordance with the general character of the job as may reasonably be required by the Chief Officer from time to time.

Although you will be provided with a base, you will be required to work from various locations in accordance with the needs of the role.
