Content Designer

Contract to start ASAP until 13-11-26 with a possible extension.

Job Purpose

You will be responsible for creating, evaluating, and reviewing content at every stage

of the user journey. Acting at a level equivalent to a Civil Service HEO/SEO, you will:

Design with Data: Use evidence, user research, and performance data to make informed content decisions.

Prototype to Persuade: Use everything from paper sketches to digital prototypes to visualise content in context and show the "why" behind your work.

Build Bridges: Work across government departments to influence stakeholders, build consensus, and ensure the user's voice is never lost in translation.

Standard Bearer: Contribute to and champion style guides and content patterns, ensuring Hackney remains a leader in the cross-government content community.

Iterate Constantly: Work in a fast-paced, Agile environment where you'll learn from mistakes, take calculated risks, and pivot based on user needs.
