Anti-Social Behaviour And Safeguarding Officer

Contract to start ASAP until 04-06-27 with a possible extension.

Responsibilities

To manage the Council's response to ASB across Teignbridge by

Responding to the public experiencing ASB and officers of other agencies in relation to ASB.

Liaising with numerous statutory and voluntary agencies.

Provide a central point of co-ordination for any agency within the Teignbridge wishing to reduce ASB.

Identifying and implementing appropriate interventions including enforcement action to reduce risk and impact.

To deliver the ASB escalation process by

Writing reports, and warning letters

Preparing all Acceptable Behaviour Contracts, Community Protection Warning letters and Community Protection Notices and other initiatives to reduce ASB

Provide guidance to Devon & Cornwall Constabulary and staff of other agencies in relation to ASB and the escalation process

To problem solve complex cases with a community impact by

Identifying and responding to complex cases that are having a detrimental impact on the community.

Co-ordination of the Council's response.

To manage safeguarding cases, make referrals to agencies, record actions and raise any major concerns with the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the Council.To chair and manage a monthly multi agency meeting to address individuals and locations across Teignbridge and provide specialist knowledge of tactical options available to reduce ASB with a multi-agency problem solving approach.

To gather evidence and prepare legal files for the Crown Prosecution Service and the Devon & Cornwall Constabulary Legal services when applying for CBO's or other legal interventions. In addition, attend court on a regular basis as an acknowledged expert in the field of ASB.

To maintain a comprehensive system of case files using the UNIFORM software on individuals and prepare timely statistics for the Safer Devon Partnership, SDD CSP and Teignbridge District Council.

To attend local meetings, Devon wide meetings and regional meetings to represent Teignbridge, TDC and the South Devon & Dartmoor CSP as an expert in the field of ASB.
