Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in configuring and managing of Data Security tools for encryption, tokenization, and masking.
  • Support the implementation of data protection policies across structured and unstructured data.
  • Conduct and support sensitive data discovery and classification scans across structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to encryption and masking processes.
  • Continuously learn and apply encryption methodologies such as Dynamic data masking, Shuffling, and format-preserving encryption (FPE).
  • Work closely with cybersecurity, compliance, infrastructure, and application teams.
  • Contribute to documentation of configurations, procedures, and technical guides.
  • Stay informed on evolving data security practices, tools, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree (or in progress) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 0-1 year of experience in data security, cybersecurity, or data-related roles (internships or academic projects welcome).
  • Understanding of core database concepts and exposure to different database platforms (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Basic understanding of encryption principles and data privacy best practices.
  • Familiarity with both Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Strong interest in data protection, privacy compliance, and enterprise security tools.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and good communication skills.
  • Basic scripting or query skills (Python, PowerShell, or SQL).
  • Awareness of data privacy regulations (GDPR and PCI DSS).
