About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support strategic transformation initiatives within the Belgian energy sector.

In this role, you will work on high-impact projects related to energy market evolution, data management, digital metering, and business process transformation. You will serve as a key link between business stakeholders, project teams, and IT departments, ensuring business requirements are translated into effective and sustainable solutions.

The position requires strong expertise in the Belgian energy market, market processes (MIG4/MIG6), business analysis, testing, stakeholder management, and business transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Business Analyst on multiple strategic business and IT projects.
  • Analyze business needs, change requests, and market initiatives from both operational and regulatory perspectives.
  • Document and optimize end-to-end business processes.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions between process owners, subject matter experts, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project dependencies and collaborate closely with other Business Analysts and project teams.
  • Develop clear documentation, decision logs, proposals, and project deliverables.
  • Create communication materials, training documentation, and change management content.
  • Support project managers with business expertise and deliverable reviews.
  • Prepare and participate in internal and external working groups.
  • Develop and execute end-to-end testing scenarios.
  • Support migration, transition, and implementation activities.
  • Contribute to process improvement and business transformation initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a comparable business analysis environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the Belgian energy market.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with market operations, including MIG4 and/or MIG6.
  • Experience with digital metering initiatives.
  • Proven experience documenting end-to-end business processes.
  • Strong background in Business Analysis and IT project delivery.
  • Experience developing communication, training, and change management materials.
  • Experience with Quality Management and Acceptance Testing.
  • Strong knowledge of Business Process Management (BPM) and process optimization.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business and IT stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Dutch language proficiency at CEFR Level C2.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience working with regulatory or utility-sector transformation programs.
  • Knowledge of energy data management processes.
  • Experience supporting large-scale migration and transition projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile project environments and business transformation methodologies.
