Product Manager – AI & Digital Transformation

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to support a major digital transformation within a large public-sector environment. The role focuses on translating strategic ambitions into concrete product initiatives while identifying and implementing valuable AI opportunities.

You will work in a multidisciplinary Agile team and act as the bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams and end users. A key part of the role is transferring AI knowledge to internal teams, helping the organization progressively become more self-sufficient in using AI effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex organizational challenges into clear product requirements, priorities and roadmaps.
  • Own, manage and prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with business and development teams.
  • Identify AI opportunities and translate them into practical, high-impact initiatives.
  • Transfer AI knowledge and best practices to internal teams and stakeholders in an accessible and practical way.
  • Identify and continuously monitor user needs through qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Manage stakeholders across operational and strategic levels, balancing different interests and expectations.
  • Define and communicate product strategy, objectives and priorities.
  • Monitor product quality and support the validation of delivered solutions.
  • Track product performance in production and initiate improvements based on data and user feedback.
  • Work closely with development teams throughout iterative product cycles.
  • Support organizational change by communicating the value and impact of new digital and AI solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong professional experience in Product Management / Product Ownership.
  • Expert knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Proven experience with product strategy, roadmap development and backlog management.
  • Strong understanding of AI applications and opportunities.
  • Experience transferring or communicating AI knowledge to business and technical teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly in complex environments.
  • Experience with user research and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to work effectively in short, iterative product cycles.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to make autonomous decisions and take ownership in complex or uncertain situations.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong empathy for end users.
  • Experience in the public sector is an advantage.

Working Arrangement

  • Location: Brussels, Belgium
  • Hybrid: Minimum 2 days per week onsite in Brussels
  • Remote work is possible within Belgium.
