Senior Data Analyst | Data Governance & Business Data Modelling

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to support a major data transformation initiative focused on creating a central Business Reference Repository.

In this role, you will act as the key link between business stakeholders, data owners, data governance teams and technical teams. You will analyse, structure and harmonise business data to improve data quality, reduce duplication and enable the Only Once principle across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse business data sources and assess their relevance, quality and integration potential.
  • Document data definitions, business rules, data flows, ownership and update processes.
  • Identify data redundancies, inconsistencies and semantic differences across multiple systems.
  • Develop conceptual data models, data dictionaries and structured business concepts.
  • Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, data managers and technical teams.
  • Support the identification and governance of reference data and authoritative data sources.
  • Maintain and enrich a central inventory of business data.
  • Contribute to data quality assessment, governance and responsibility clarification.
  • Identify opportunities for data harmonisation, reuse and simplification.
  • Document integration constraints, interfaces, dependencies and data exchange mechanisms.
  • Prepare analysis reports, recommendations and documentation for governance bodies and project stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Senior-level experience as a Data Analyst.
  • Strong experience in business data analysis and data modelling, including conceptual models and data dictionaries.
  • Experience with semantic analysis and harmonisation of business concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data ownership and responsibility models.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and working with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of reference data, data reuse and the Only Once principle.
  • Experience in data quality analysis and control.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and documentation skills.
  • Pragmatic, proactive and solution-oriented approach.

Language

French: C2 / Full Professional Proficiency — mandatory

Contract Details

Location: Namur, Belgium
Work model: Hybrid, with a minimum of 60% on-site presence
Start: 15 October 2026
End: 14 June 2027
Duration: Approximately 8 months, part-time (3/5)
