Senior Full Stack Java Developer – Frontend Focus

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Java Developer to contribute to the modernization of a large and business-critical application landscape.

You will work within an Agile/Scrum team developing modern, web-based applications and services. The role covers both front-end and back-end development, with a particular preference for candidates who have a strong interest and experience in front-end development.

You will work on complex technical challenges, collaborate closely with senior colleagues and stakeholders, and contribute to the design and implementation of modern, event-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement software components using Java and modern front-end technologies.
• Develop both front-end and back-end solutions for large web-based applications.
• Contribute to the development of event-driven solutions within a Scrum team.
• Help design and maintain the architecture of new features.
• Monitor and safeguard architectural consistency across solutions.
• Improve processes surrounding integrations between applications and external chain partners.
• Work independently as well as collaboratively within project teams.
• Support and coach team members to take ownership of their responsibilities.
• Promote knowledge sharing and reduce dependencies on individual team members.
• Produce clear and transferable technical documentation.
• Share technical knowledge, solutions and alternative approaches with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Engage directly with stakeholders to understand requirements and discuss practical solutions and alternative scenarios.
• Analyse complex technical challenges and work collaboratively with senior colleagues to develop solutions.

Required Technical Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Java.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with VueJS, React or Angular in combination with TypeScript.
• Experience with Java, Spring and Hibernate.
• Experience with front-end styling using CSS and/or Bootstrap.
• Experience developing both front-end and back-end applications.
• Experience working within modern software development environments.
