Performance Audit Expert – Distributed Systems

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Performance Audit Expert to assess the performance, scalability, resilience, and operational robustness of a large-scale distributed application platform built on a microservices architecture. The role involves conducting an independent technical audit, identifying bottlenecks and risks, and providing actionable recommendations to improve system performance and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze application performance across Java/Spring Boot microservices, PostgreSQL databases, and distributed integrations.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, scalability limitations, and architectural weaknesses.
• Assess resilience, observability, monitoring, logging, tracing, and incident recovery mechanisms.
• Evaluate distributed transaction management, data consistency, and event-driven processing patterns.
• Review batch processing, messaging systems, APIs, and data migration mechanisms.
• Produce audit findings, risk assessments, and prioritized recommendations.
• Present technical conclusions to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven expertise in performance analysis and auditing of distributed systems.
• Strong experience with Java application profiling and performance diagnostics.
• Expertise in monitoring and observability tools, including logs, metrics, and tracing.
• Solid understanding of resilience patterns, scalability, and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Ability to identify root causes of application and infrastructure performance issues.
• Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
