About the Role

We are looking for a Medior VPN & Service Desk Specialist to join a dynamic IT Operations team responsible for supporting and maintaining a large-scale enterprise IT environment.

In this role, you will provide both first-line and second-line support to end users while acting as a subject matter expert in Always On VPN and GlobalProtect technologies. You will be responsible for managing desktop environments, supporting users, maintaining hardware inventories, and ensuring a high level of service delivery across the organization.

This position is ideal for a customer-focused IT professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line and second-line technical support to end users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to desktops, laptops, peripherals, and network connectivity.
  • Support and administer Always On VPN and GlobalProtect environments.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows desktop environments.
  • Manage PC hardware, thin clients, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Maintain IT asset inventories and stock management processes.
  • Administer and support Active Directory user and computer environments.
  • Utilize service desk tools and CMDB systems for incident and asset management.
  • Communicate effectively with users, stakeholders, and IT teams.
  • Follow established IT service management processes and procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Service Desk Analyst / IT Support Specialist (1st and 2nd line support).
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Always On VPN and GlobalProtect technologies.
  • Strong experience using service desk tools and managing CMDB environments.
  • Proven experience with Windows desktop administration, including:
    • Windows 11
    • Microsoft Office 2021 or later
    • Laptop and thin client deployments
    • Hardware installation and replacement
    • Windows Deployment Services (WDS)
    • Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, including:
    • User Management
    • Computer Management
    • DHCP
    • DNS
    • DFS
    • File Services
    • Group Policies
  • Excellent telephone communication and customer support skills.
  • Fluent Dutch language skills (CEFR C2 level).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting users in Citrix-based environments.
  • Experience working with VMware virtual machines.
  • Experience managing mobile devices using Microsoft Intune or similar MDM solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or a related field.
