Data Scientist – Machine Learning & AI
We are seeking a Data Scientist to design, develop, and maintain a modular and future-proof machine learning framework while delivering advanced analytics and predictive modeling solutions to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Learning Framework Development
- Design and implement a scalable and reusable machine learning framework.
- Establish best practices for data preprocessing, model training, validation, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Implement monitoring, feedback loops, and model retraining mechanisms.
- Manage model versioning, reproducibility, logging, and system monitoring.
- Prepare infrastructure for future cloud migration initiatives.
- Document processes, methodologies, and technical solutions.
- Coach and support team members in the adoption and use of the framework.
- Present technical analyses and results to business stakeholders.
Data Science & Machine Learning Solutions
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions using an iterative development approach.
- Identify, assess, and validate relevant data sources.
- Perform data analysis, data preparation, and exploratory data analysis (EDA).
- Develop feature engineering strategies to improve model performance.
- Select, evaluate, compare, and optimize machine learning algorithms.
- Build, tune, automate, and maintain predictive models.
- Continuously evaluate and improve model accuracy and effectiveness.
- Communicate insights and recommendations through clear visualizations and presentations.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Python for Data Science and Machine Learning.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and database technologies.
- Experience with Machine Learning and AI techniques for data analysis.
- Experience developing and evaluating analytical and predictive models.
- Hands-on experience with Jupyter Notebook and KNIME.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience with Microsoft DevOps or similar CI/CD and version control platforms.
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL databases.
- Knowledge of Oracle database environments.
- Familiarity with Azure Machine Learning and Azure ML SDK.
Languages
- Native proficiency in either Dutch or French.
- Ability to read and understand the other national language.
Working Model
- Hybrid work environment.
- On-site presence required 2 days per week in Brussels, with remote work available on remaining days.
Selection Process
- Interview combined with a practical technical assignment.
