About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Warehouse ETL Developer to join a large public-sector HR technology and data team in Belgium. In this role, you will contribute to major data modernization and standardization initiatives, delivering high-quality ETL solutions and supporting enterprise data warehouse development.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of data warehouse assignments, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to ensure reliable, scalable, and efficient data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and database solutions
• Execute data warehouse development activities across multiple projects
• Perform technical analysis based on functional requirements
• Support the implementation of new developments and enhancements
• Manage assigned projects and deliverables from analysis through deployment
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
• Contribute to data warehouse modeling and architecture initiatives
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams
• Ensure data quality, performance, and maintainability of solutions
• Participate in Agile development activities and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

• 5+ years of experience in Data Warehouse Modeling
• 3+ years of experience with IBM DataStage
• Strong SQL development and database expertise
• Experience planning, designing, and building enterprise data warehouse solutions
• Experience with ETL development and data integration processes
• Understanding of data warehouse architecture, methodologies, and best practices
• Experience working in project-driven environments
• Dutch language proficiency at CEFR C2 level

Preferred

• Experience with Cognos Analytics Framework Manager
• Experience with Unix scripting
• Ability to perform technical analysis from functional specifications
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, processes, and architectures
• Experience with BI reporting and analytics platforms
• Knowledge of metadata management and database technologies
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Experience within HR, payroll, or workforce management domains

Nice to Have

• Previous experience working within government or public-sector organizations
