ITSM CONSULTANT – ATLASSIAN (MID-LEVEL)

Location: Melle, Belgium
Contract Duration: 12 Months (Extension Possible)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced ITSM Consultant – Atlassian to join a leading utilities organization in Belgium. In this role, you will combine business analysis, solution design, configuration, automation, and development expertise within the Atlassian ecosystem.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, service management teams, and IT departments to design and optimize IT Service Management processes while delivering scalable solutions using Jira Service Management, Confluence, Atlassian Assets, and related technologies.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Analysis & Solution Design

  • Gather and analyze business and technical requirements.
  • Translate ITSM processes into scalable Atlassian solutions.
  • Produce functional and technical documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments.

Development & Configuration

  • Configure and enhance Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Assets.
  • Develop automation workflows and business rules.
  • Build integrations using PowerShell, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
  • Configure and optimize service management processes.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and performance metrics.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Write and execute test scenarios.
  • Validate system functionality and performance.
  • Maintain solution documentation and configuration records.
  • Ensure adherence to IT standards and best practices.

Maintenance & Support

  • Investigate and resolve application issues.
  • Support incident, problem, and change management activities.
  • Participate in releases and platform enhancements.
  • Monitor system stability and performance.

Collaboration & Governance

  • Work closely with service desk teams, project managers, and infrastructure specialists.
  • Share knowledge and best practices across teams.
  • Contribute to planning, estimation, and prioritization activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Must-Have

Minimum 3 years of experience as an Atlassian Expert in a similar environment
Minimum 3 years of experience with Jira Software & Jira Service Management (Cloud)
Minimum 3 years of experience with Atlassian Assets Configuration
Minimum 3 years of experience with Atlassian Guard
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Confluence Cloud Administrator
Minimum 3 years of PowerShell scripting experience
Experience implementing and supporting ITSM solutions
Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Fluent Dutch language skills (CEFR C2)

NICE TO HAVE

Experience with ScriptRunner and ScriptRunner Connect
Experience with eazyBI reporting and dashboards
Strong SQL knowledge and database querying experience
Experience configuring and optimizing ITSM processes
Experience integrating Atlassian solutions with enterprise applications
Experience working in complex enterprise environments
