About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP BTP HANA Cloud Modeler / XSA Migration Consultant to support HANA Cloud modeling, application modernization, and migration initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in SAP BTP HANA Cloud modeling, including Calculation Views, Table Functions, SQL Stored Procedures, and SQL development. In addition, you should have substantial experience with SAP HANA XS Advanced (XSA) and at least 2 years of XSA migration experience.

You will work on HANA implementations and migration projects, collaborating with technical teams and customers in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data models on SAP BTP HANA Cloud.
• Develop and optimize:
  • Calculation Views
  • Table Functions
  • SQL Stored Procedures
  • SQL-based data models
• Support SAP HANA Cloud implementation and migration projects.
• Participate in end-to-end HANA implementation activities.
• Design and implement HANA models for productive enterprise environments.
• Lead or contribute to XSA migration initiatives.
• Perform HANA Cloud migration using the XSA Migration Tool Kit.
• Analyze existing XS Advanced applications and determine appropriate migration approaches.
• Work with XSA components and technologies including:
  • XSOData
  • XSJS
  • XS Advanced
• Support migration and integration activities involving:
  • SDA
  • SDI
  • SLT
• Collaborate with DevOps teams using Jenkins and BitBucket.
• Support CI/CD processes for HANA development and migration activities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize SQL and HANA models.
• Work closely with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide appropriate technical solutions.
• Take ownership of assigned deliverables and drive issues through to resolution.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.

Essential Skills & Experience

SAP HANA Cloud & Modeling

• Minimum 5 years of strong SAP HANA modeling experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP HANA Cloud.
• Extensive experience developing:
  • Calculation Views
  • Table Functions
  • SQL Stored Procedures
• Strong SQL skills are mandatory.
• Experience with HANA Cloud migration is highly valuable.
• Experience delivering HANA solutions in productive enterprise environments.

XSA / Migration

• Deep understanding of SAP HANA XS Advanced (XSA) features and capabilities.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on XSA migration experience – mandatory.
• Practical experience with the HANA Cloud Migration using the XSA Migration Tool Kit.
• Experience with:
  • XSOData
  • XSJS
  • XS Advanced application architecture
• Ability to assess existing XSA applications and support their migration to HANA Cloud.

SAP BW & Data Integration

• Good working knowledge of SAP BW on HANA.
• Familiarity with:
  • SDA – Smart Data Access
  • SDI – Smart Data Integration
  • SLT – SAP Landscape Transformation
• Understanding of HANA data integration and migration concepts.

DevOps

• Good hands-on knowledge of Jenkins.
• Experience with BitBucket.
• Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices within SAP HANA development environments.

Implementation Experience

• Experience working on at least 2 full-cycle SAP HANA implementations as a HANA Modeler.
• Experience delivering solutions in productive environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization capabilities.

The ideal candidate is a senior SAP HANA Cloud Modeler and XSA Migration Consultant with deep technical expertise in HANA Cloud modeling and proven experience migrating XSA applications.

You should be highly proficient in SQL, comfortable working with SAP BTP and HANA Cloud, and experienced in delivering enterprise HANA implementations in productive environments.

Strong customer-facing skills, ownership, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.
