Structural Engineer-Design

Who we are:

Cadigal Group is Australia based engineering consultancy firm which offers Structural, Civil and Façade engineering solution for the local Australian market. Cadigal Group design and delivers tall buildings, hospitals, schools and industrial buildings. Cadigal Group head office is based in Sydney Australia. This employment offer requires the candidate to work in the Colombo or Jaffna based office.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare ETABS model, SAFE model, other engineering models and hand calculations for the building elements.

· Communicating with Australian clients and assisting Directors and other senior staff members.

· Prepare Cadigal Group engineering standards and other ad hoc documentations as necessary.

· Design concrete, steel and timber elements.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

· Must be very fluent in Oral and written English and capable of communicating with Australian Engineers and clients.

· Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE and other relevant engineering software along with multitasking abilities.

· Prepare hand calculations based on Australian standards and document them. Guidance will be provided to use Australian standards.

· Min. Five years of experience in the building design roles.

· Candidates must have completed 4 years engineering degree program with B.Sc or B.Eng degree from Moratuwa/Peradeniya/ Ruhuna or equivalent other reputed universities recognised by Washington Accord.

· Exposure in the construction industry will be required.

· We prefer candidates who would like to work in the long-term.
