About the job Graphic/Digital Designer
Duties and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to make campaigns and campaign assets come to life within the deadline.
- Help bring new ideas for design and content creation to the team using your expertise and eye for great design.
- Manage other design needs such as presentations, signage, and trade show collateral as needed.
- Develop conversion-focused landing page and website designs for clients
- Engage with the rest of the team on continual, data-driven improvement of campaign assets
- Bringing the brief and concept to life based on the clients' needs and vision.
- Keeping budget, time, and production constraints in mind.
- Preparing mock-ups and presenting to clients before deciding on a final design/concept.
- Editing proofs to clients' specifications and getting signoff/approval before finalising the artwork.
- Working and collaborating with art directors, copywriters, photographers, and other designers.
- Adapting and rolling out approved concepts to various media, above and below the line.
- Adhering to a client's brand identity and guidelines.
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders about the progress of projects and any issues that may arise.
- Working with external departments to extend concepts and visuals to other internal and external marketing-related material.
- Making sure artwork is correct and supplied in the right format/sizes/color codes before being sent to press and production facilities.
- Work on multiple briefs at the same time.
Qualifications and experience:
- Matric
- A relevant degree or certification in design or visual art.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Graphic Design Skills
- Desktop Publishing Tools
- Layout Skills
- Competence in Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and InDesign)
- Competence in MS Office
- Good knowledge of the print process - set up your own artwork for print.
- Good understanding and use of the English language
- After Effects
- Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print and the web.
- A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
