Duties and responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the General Manager advising on local HR legislation, governance, and compliance matters.
  • Manage, develop, and coach team of staff to help ensure the delivery of HR function and business targets, and implements performance management solutions where required
  • Accountable for overall HR budget/ ensuring that spend is in line with budgetary limitations and administration of the CC South Africa payroll
  • Establish yourself as the situational expert on all HR matters, advising, coaching and guiding the local leadership team ensuring that CC values are understood and adopted
  • Work in close partnership with other HR Managers, sharing best practice, leveraging each others expertise.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all aspects of HR including operating as the local expert/advisor for employee relations.
  • Appraise and update all local and Corporate HR policies and processes and present to employees and managers.
  • Ensure you understand the HR operating model and leverage the Centres of Excellence and drive the shift left of activities that can be done through these teams
  • Ensure that all administrative processes are efficient and fit for purpose and update where required.
  • Support the implementation of Group and local Human Resources programs such as performance management, succession planning, talent assessment, development initiatives and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and serve as an advisor to Corporate on geographic specific information related to these.
  • Support the implementation of region-specific HR initiatives and programs and participate in Group projects to develop, implement and localise Corporate HR policies, procedures and programs.
  • Advise and support managers and employees on region specific regulations (work legislation, compliance) and participate as a representative of the employment tribunals and CCMA meetings.
  • Provision of support in country with local bids, corporate initiatives and employee transition (ARD)

Qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in HR Management or related
  • Honors or Masters (highly advantageous)
  • Proven track record as a HR Manager in an international, fast paced, commercial environment.
  • HR professional with full generalist capability including recruitment, ER, reward, talent management and employee development.
  • Strong knowledge of local employment law and up to date understanding of recent legislation
  • Exceptional ability to develop strong relationships with all levels.
  • Ability to analyse, plan, and project manage
  • Hands-on Human Resources experience in other countries would be an advantage.
  • Expertise in a dynamic growth environment
  • Multilingual, to include fluency in English both oral and written.
  • Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with Senior Leaders
  • Experience of working in a Global environment
  • Dynamic, positive, people-oriented attitude, with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Experience of implementing SAP HR processes
  • Excellent multitasking & structured problem-solving skills
