Accounts Administrator
About the job Accounts Administrator
Key purpose:
To process all expenditure items through the cashbook and prepare these items for payment. Ensure accurate recording of transactions in the financial records of the organisation.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Capturing and reconciling of cashbooks on Accpac
- Capturing monthly account reconciliations for various clubs
- Capturing Accounts payable invoices on Accpac
- Capturing Accounts receivable invoices on Accpac
- Preparation of Creditor Invoices for payment
- Creating payments on ABSA Banking system
- Extracting monthly reports
- Reconciliation of inter-company transactions and loan accounts
- Liaising with various suppliers
- Adhoc office duties where required
Qualifications and experience:
- Accounting Software experience will be beneficial
- Accounting Graduate or studying towards an Accounting qualification
- Experience on Accpac an advantage
- Experience in a similar role in a financial department will be an advantage
- Basic Accounting knowledge
- In possession of or studying towards an accounting related qualification
- Good administrative skills
- MS Office and Electronic Mail essential
- Above average literacy and numeracy skills
