About the job Accounts Administrator

Key purpose:

To process all expenditure items through the cashbook and prepare these items for payment. Ensure accurate recording of transactions in the financial records of the organisation.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Capturing and reconciling of cashbooks on Accpac
  • Capturing monthly account reconciliations for various clubs
  • Capturing Accounts payable invoices on Accpac
  • Capturing Accounts receivable invoices on Accpac
  • Preparation of Creditor Invoices for payment
  • Creating payments on ABSA Banking system
  • Extracting monthly reports
  • Reconciliation of inter-company transactions and loan accounts
  • Liaising with various suppliers
  • Adhoc office duties where required

Qualifications and experience:

  • Accounting Software experience will be beneficial 
  • Accounting Graduate or studying towards an Accounting qualification
  • Experience on Accpac an advantage
  • Experience in a similar role in a financial department will be an advantage
  • Basic Accounting knowledge
  • In possession of or studying towards an accounting related qualification
  • Good administrative skills
  • MS Office and Electronic Mail essential
  • Above average literacy and numeracy skills
