Key purpose:

To handle all internal sales, queries, orders and stock monitoring for the effective customer service.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Customer liaison and interaction
  • Order processing and stock monitoring
  • Office administration
  • Maintaining customer focused working relationships with internal, interdepartmental and external customers.
  • Following up on daily delivery for customers.
  • Handling telephonic queries in a professional manner.
  • Customer feedback and complaints § Cooperation from internal departments 
  • Accurate order taking.
  • Load all orders received from customers and load buffer stock to be ordered.
  • Coordinate deliveries with warehouse supervisor and drivers.
  • Follow up on orders to be delivered for other regions.
  • Monitoring stock in system and re-ordering if necessary and liaising with planning department as required.
  • Follow up on daily deliveries.
  • No stock outs
  • Delivery turn around times.
  • Deal with all cash sales customers.
  • Receive cash and issue receipts.
  • Monthly balancing of cash book
  • Accurate balanced cash book
  • Accurate documentation
  • Invoicing as required
  • Following all relevant ISO procedures.
  • Administer petty cash
  • Maintaining an accurate filing and record keeping system.
  • Maintaining records of PODs
  • Accurate and accessible records (as per ISO standards) 

Qualifications and experience:

  • Matric
  • Customer liaison experience
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Organising and planning skills
