Duties and responsibilities:

  • All duties associated with the management and control of the assets of the Resort
  • Complete management function of the Restaurant on site
  • The Management of the performance of all staff and contract personnel employed at the Resort.
  • Ensuring that all policies and standards set by the Management Agent of the employer are always strictly adhered to, with reference to the ongoing maintaining of KPIs in relation to Food & Beverage outlets.
  • Ensuring that all staff and contract personnel employed at the Resort are always properly and adequately trained and fully conversant with all aspects of the duties they are required to perform.
  • The implementation of all systems, facilities and structures as determined by the employer from time to time with reference and emphasis on those related to Food & Beverage and KPIs coupled thereto.
  • The management and reporting on all such areas as determined by the Employers policy and procedures.
  • Required to work shifts & long hours when necessary.

  • To maximize employee productivity by multi-tasking, multi skilling & flexible scheduling to meet the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of the guests
  • To handle guest complaints and inquiries in a courteous & efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
  • To respond to changes in the food & beverage function as dictated by management.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties & responsibilities as assigned.
  • To conduct month end stock takes, including 10 & 20 day counts
  • Stock control, issuing of stock and ordering of stock according to par stock levels
  • Prepare month end reports

Qualifications and experience:

  • Diploma in Hospitality Management, Catering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 Years experience in Hotel/Resort Management with at least two years relating to Food &
    Beverage Management
  • Fully computer literate with an emphasis and experience on Microsoft
  • Opera & Myinventory will be an advantage
  • General all-round knowledge of industry operations
