We are recruiting an experienced IT Network Architecture/Project Manager for a prestigious luxury group in China. This role is pivotal in managing the rapid growth of the business and the increasing complexity of IT services. The successful candidate will implement technical projects (infrastructure/networks) and ensure the robust, reliable, and continuous evolution of infrastructure and network services in China.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of the CTO China team, the IT Networking Architecture/Project Manager will:

Network Architecture:

  • Lead for Shared Office and support for China and Global Shared Services (Telco Node, Hosting, Cabling, WAN, LAN, IPT, Internet platform, etc.)
  • Integrate networking services or solutions into application solutions, collaborating with application and digital teams.

Project Management:

  • Initiate technical projects with comprehensive cost/benefit analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across central and Maisons.
  • Ensure successful project delivery, prepare post-mortem reviews.
  • Lead major projects to ensure successful delivery within project timelines and resources.

Operations and Support:

  • Provide local networking support for brands in the group, integrating with group build & run teams.
  • Maintain operational conditions of group infrastructures set in Shanghai.
  • Ensure daily support for Maisons based in Shanghai, collaborating with their IT teams abroad.

Vendor Management:

  • Drive strategic vendors/partners delivering day-to-day infrastructure services.
  • Manage operationally IT contractors and local suppliers.

Main Roles:

  • Lead IT network-related projects initiated by the China team or localize group solutions for the China environment.
  • Manage the deployment and operation of IT infrastructure in Shanghai (Telco nodes, hosting, LAN, WAN, IPT, WLAN, Proxy, etc.).
  • Support the central IT teams in managing on-site activities in China.
  • Promote and support Maisons in China to adopt IT recommended solutions.
  • Oversee service management, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage local contracts and supplier performance.

Other information:

  • Reports hierarchically and functionally to the CTO China, based in Shanghai.
  • Reports to the Head of Network & Telecoms, centrally.
  • Based in Shanghai with potential travel within Asia.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure.
  • Bachelors degree or higher in computer science or equivalent.
  • Proven project management skills with experience in both waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Product management mindset to transform professional services into products.
  • Strong network knowledge: routing protocols, WAN, SDWAN, proxy, DNS, multiple-level CISCO switches (HUAWEI products are a must), firewalls (Fortigate and Palo Alto).
  • Experience in a multinational environment with complex organizations.
  • Customer-oriented with a focus on problem-solving and service improvement.
  • Experience setting up local infrastructure, including server rooms.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Management.
  • Understanding of GDPR and Chinese security standards (CSL, MLPS, CBDT, etc.).
  • Fluent in Chinese and English, with excellent communication skills in a multicultural environment.
