About This Position
As a key part of the Human Resources and Information Systems departments, the HRIS Manager in China will be crucial in adapting and improving our HR systems, digital tools, and data for the local market. This role demands a thorough understanding of the Chinese market to align and tailor global HRIS strategies and technological initiatives effectively.
The role is based in our Shanghai offices and reports to the Global VP of HR Tech, Digital & Data.
The HRIS Manager will work closely with local HR, IT, and legal teams across all levels.
Responsibilities
1_HRIS Strategy and Governance- Ensure alignment with the company global and local HR vision for China architecture principles, by collaborating with local and global HR and IT departments to localize and execute a complete HRIS plan targeted to the Chinese market.
- Develop and uphold HRIS governance frameworks, rules, and procedures that support innovation and ongoing development while abiding by local regulations and industry best practices.
2_System Implementation and Integration
- Lead the selection, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of HRIS solutions tailored to China, including core HR, talent management, and workforce analytics platforms.
- Ensure these systems integrate seamlessly with the existing company platforms, specifically focusing on:
- Core HR
- WeChat recruitment
- Internal learning platform
- Internal system
- Collaborate with HR teams across levels in expressing their needs to create detailed user stories.
- Work closely and manage external vendors and partners, in terms of negotiating contracts, overseeing project timelines. Collaborate with IT and UX/UI experts to ensure smooth system implementation and upgrades.
- Have the capacity to identify potential risks and devise strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Play a crucial role in the acceptance testing phases.
3_Data Management and Analytics
- Take lead in ensure HR data follows Chinas data privacy regulations and the companys global data management standards, in terms of accuracy, integrity and security.
- Performance Data Analysis through reports, and dashboards using analytical tools (e.g PowerBI CN) to support the decision-making process for HR and other business leaders, emphasizing areas like talent acquisitions, retention rate, and mobility.
4_Change Management and User Adaptation
- Simultaneously spearheading in using digital HR tools and self-service functions while encouraging the team to access and manage HR information and learning resource accordingly.
- Develop change management strategies for HRIS projects in China, including tailored training and user support.
- Encourage team to improve on digital literacy and continuous learning. Maximizing user adaptation and satisfaction company HRIS system by working with HR and IT teams.
5_Compliance and Regulatory Monitoring
- Identify data privacy risks, specifically with managing PIPL as defined by relevant regulations, by working closely with the legal and compliance team.
- Stay ahead of labor laws, regulations and industry trends in China that is relevant to the HRIS to ensure timely update to the system and processes.
Requirements
1_Background and Work Experience
- Bachelor or Master degree in HR, Information Systems, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in HRIS roles, handling complex HRIS projects within China market in MNCs.
- High proficiency in English.
- Native or bilingual Chinese proficiency.
2_Technical Skills:
- Experienced in managing HRIS systems (e.g. SAP SuccessFactors), and workforce management solution.
- Knowledgeable in HR process automation, data integration, and data privacy laws and regulations in China.
3_Project Management
- Using Agile method to implement large-scale HRIS system roll-out, enhancement and integration, accordingly to the timelines and budgets.
- High cultural intelligence to work in a multicultural working environment.
