About This Position
We are looking for a highly experienced Regional IT & Cloud Specialist with a strong background in enterprise solutions in China. You will lead the management of our APAC hybrid infrastructure across cloud and on-premises platforms, ensuring stable operations, optimal performance, and robust security in a complex, multi-environment landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and operate cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal availability, scalability, and performance.
- Design, implement, and maintain hybrid cloud environments, ensuring smooth integration between cloud platforms and on-premises systems.
- Continuously monitor and optimize cloud costs and performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks and resolving infrastructure issues.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to manage infrastructure services, ensure SLA compliance, and handle escalations effectively.
- Plan and deliver infrastructure upgrades and changes with minimal impact on business operations.
- Partner with Central and Local IT teams on infrastructure initiatives, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Lead regional cloud infrastructure projects, including task coordination, progress tracking, and regular status reporting to management.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices across cloud and on-premises environments, and drive continuous infrastructure improvements.
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on support to team members on infrastructure-related topics.
- Create, maintain, and update technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Requirements
Must have:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience managing hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments.
- Strong working knowledge of major cloud platforms (such as Azure, GCP, and AliCloud) as well as on-premises technologies.
- Proven experience with cloud migration initiatives, including moving on-premises systems to the cloud, and working with Azure services such as AVD, AFS, NSG, load balancing, landing zones, and resource groups.
- Solid background in Windows and Linux server administration, with experience using scripting and automation tools (e.g., Git, Bash, Terraform, Python, PowerShell) for infrastructure operations.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and related protocols.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills across infrastructure components.
- Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining security controls in both cloud-based and on-premises environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working across cross-functional teams.
- Relevant professional certifications (such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator Associate) are considered an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-driven, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
