Head of Oncology Unit

The Head of Oncology Unit will lead and manage the unit to ensure the delivery of high-quality cancer care services, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of oncology patients. This position is responsible for setting clinical standards, implementing evidence-based practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in patient care. The role also involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, engaging in clinical research, and developing programs that enhance patient outcomes and staff competencies.

Education and Experiment profile:

• A MB.Ch.B. or its equivalent from a recognized University
•  A M.Med. in Oncology (or equivalent)
• Must be registered (or meet the requirements for registration, if currently working abroad) to the Ugandan Medical and Dental Practitioners Council
• Minimum of six (6) years of work experience in Oncology, of which at least two (2) as Senior Consultant
• Has previous documented activities as team leaders in health sectors
• Has previous documented management experience in healthcare facilities
• Has scientific research titles in Oncology or related area
