About the job Principal / Senior Nutritionist

The Principal / Senior Nutritionist provides nutrition consultation and education for patients and their families who are screened at nutrition risk, identified with nutrition risk, and/or referred by physicians or other healthcare providers for nutrition-related problems, chronic disease management, management of nutrition support, to meet regulatory requirements, or for prevention and wellness. The Nutritionist is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, working close with the Specialist Medical Officers of the Unit to ensure that the patient’s nutrition needs are being met. The Principal / Senior Nutritionist provides evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to patients of varying acuity levels including management of enteral nutrition initiation and advacement.


Education and Experience profile:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics or Clinical and Public Health Dietetics or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution.
  • Holding a M.Sc. in Human Nutrition or other PG qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics will be an advantage.
  • At least six (6) years of work experience for Principal position, at least three (3) for Senior positions  in a general, regional referral or national referral hospital.
