About the job Consultant of Radiology
The Consultant of Radiology Unit will be expected to provide conventional radiology, CT, MRI and ultrasound examination to the ISHU patients. They will report daily to the Senior Consultant about the most recent or serious cases and procedures performed in the Unit. The Consultant will also attend periodic meetings with the Head of Unit, anesthetists, surgeons and other specialists to evaluate which procedures perform for the different patients. Finally, they will cooperate with the Senior Consultant in the training and evaluation of the Junior roles.
Education and Experience profile:
- A MBChB. or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution.
- A Master of Medicine (M.Med) degree in Radiology or its equivalent.
- Additional training and certification in Radiology either as Fellow of Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) or American Board of Radiology (ABR) and having practice in multiple disciplines of radiology including Body conventional & Computerized Imaging, Ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Fluoroscopy and special radiological procedures.
- Must be registered (or meet the requirements for registration, if currently working abroad) to the Ugandan Medical and Dental Practitioners Council
- Minimum of six (6) years of work experience in Radiology or its related fields.
