Consultant of Cath-lab (EP)

The Consultant of Cath-lab (Electrophysiology - EP) autonomously performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the field of Electrophysiology. He/she reports daily to the Chief of Unit about the most recent or serious cases in the ward. The Consultant will attend periodic meetings with the Chief of Cardiology Unit, cardiac surgeons and anesthetists to evaluate which procedures to adopt for the various patients belonging to the Unit.

The Consultant will have outstanding clinical and teaching skills. Finally, he/she will apply all the procedure to minimize the risk of infections in accordance with Infection Prevention and Control Service and Quality & Safety Department.

Education and Experiment profile

• A MB.Ch.B. or its equivalent from a recognized University.
• A M.Med. in Cardiology (or equivalent).
• Must be registered (or meet the requirements for registration) to the Ugandan Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
• Minimum of nine (9) years of work experience in Cardiology, in a general, regional referral or national referral hospital.
• Proven experience in Electrophysiology.
• Demonstrated professional experience of at least 3 (three) years in the Ugandan Healthcare System.
