Sonographer

The Sonographer will be able to deliver high-quality care to ISHU patients, working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, and every day will be varied. They will perform non-invasive tests, such as abdominal US, arterial Doppler, venous Doppler, carotid Doppler and other US per physicians orders. Along with demonstrating the necessary technical skills, they will also be in charge of maintaining the equipment and supplies and participating in safety and quality control.

Education and Experience profile:

• Diploma in diagnostic ultrasound (or its equivalent) from a recognized University or Institution in addition to a basic training in health fields such as Medicine, Radiography, Nursing and Midwifery and Clinical officer.
• A Bachelor's degree will be an asset.
• Additional training and certification for specialized areas like vascular, echocardiographer and interventional ultrasound will be an advantage.
• Must be registered and licensed (or meet the requirements for registration, if currently working abroad) to the relevant Professional Council.
• Has tracked professional experience within the Ugandan Healthcare system
