About the job Nurse Supervisor - Ward Manager of Radiotherapy
The Nurse Supervisor Ward Manager of Radiotherapy is a key member of the hospital clinical management team whose primary role is to oversee the nursing care provided in all Radiotherapy, has 24/7 responsibility for the clinical care of patients and operation of the clinics, manages Enrolled Nurses, Assistant Nursing Officers and Nursing Officers. Plans, directs and coordinates medical and health services. Sets and carries out policies, goals, and procedures for the department and evaluates the quality of the staffs work. Develops reports and budgets for the Radiotherapy. Assures that the needs of the patients and doctors in the Radiotherapy Unit and associated areas are met, resulting in excellent outcomes. Serves asacting Head Nurse as assigned. The incumbent will ensure transparency in all matters pertaining to facility.
Education and Experience profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent from a recognized Institution/University
- Post-graduate diploma or certification in radiation therapy cancer treatment will be an asset
- Must be registered with Uganda Nurses & Midwives Council.
- At least five (5) years hospital experience as a registered nurse
